Mounting your tv above the fireplace raises it much higher than a regular install. If your furniture is too close to the fireplace it will give you a pain in the neck, literally. Another thing to consider is the furniture you will use for your components. The cables will generally exit near the floor to either side of the fireplace, this is where your furniture should be placed.
